HarbisonWalker investing $30M for new monolithic refractories plant

HarbisonWalker International (HWI), the largest supplier of refractory products and services in the U.S. and with more than 150 years of presence in refractory industry, announced in the last week that it is investing $30 million to construct a new, state-of-the-art monolithic refractories manufacturing facility.  


Insulation Korea to supply insulating refractories to Axiall Corp and Lotte Chemical for their US Shale Gas Plant, Louisiana

Insulation Korea Co, a Seoul-based leading supplier of insulating refractories and high temperature solution received contract to provide $6 million worth special insulating refractories (insulating refractory materials) to Axiall Corp. and Lotte Chemical Corp for their US shale gas plant to be built in Louisiana. According to the agreement, Insulation Korea will design and supply refractories for six units of ethylene cracker based on its own technology. For this the company will look for a global refractory materials supplier to provide the products and design service starting May until early next year.
